| Description: Old vines were chosen as the source for this wine because they provide intensity of flavor and great character. After crushing, the wine was aged in 1-2 year-old American oak barrels for 14 months. |

This Zinfandel is a rich, black cherry and blood red with an orange caste. It has a very sweet syrup smell that delicately lingers with wood and light pepper. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a medicine or alcohol odor that comes through. The first taste is of jam and smooth cedar that quickly turns to a very strong pepper and overwhelming alcohol flavor. The mellow woody flavor lingers nicely but sadly falls prey to the attack of alcohol that reminds me of taking medicine, bad medicine. |
