Pinot Noir - Southing 2005

Rating:

Winery: Sea Smoke

Country: United States United States

Regions: California

Description:

The 2005 Sea Smoke Southing Pinot Noir shows elegant fruit, a rich middle palate, firm tannins and Sea Smoke Vineyard’s signature cool climate acidity. Aromas of wild blueberries, violets and a subtle dustiness are characteristic of this wine. We recommend decanting thirty to sixty minutes prior to drinking, particularly if consumed before 2009.

So I was sipping this super nice but bold Pinot and I offerd my brother a sample. He leans in to smell and snaps his head back, Whoah it's like a punch in the face!"

He means that like a good thing. I think in couple years if anyone drags this out of the cellar its going to be alot mellower and very very nice. Right now its bold in in your face. I am still loving it with some good cheese, but not goats cheese as I discovered.

This ones a keeper.

Man I wish I had some lamb here, the next bottle I won't make that mistake.
